Roots 10U, 11U, 12U, and 18U will have a one-day tryout. Roots 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U, and 17U will have a two-day tryout. On day 1, there will be two sessions - the earlier session is for liberos and the second session is for hitters/setters. All athletes will receive their day 2 session time via email following day 1. All athletes are expected to attend both days of tryouts. Dividing athletes into groups allows athletes to showcase more of their skills and gives us the ability to give each athlete a thorough evaluation.

Tryout Cost:

$85 Early Bird (ends May 15^th)
$100 Regular (begins May 16th)

Tryout Information:

All tryouts for the 2023-2024 season will take place at the Treehouse Gym located at 15407 Long Vista Drive, Suite 100, Austin, TX 78728. Players are required to attend both days of tryouts (one day for 10U, 11U, 12U, and 18U players).

Players should wear athletic gear (i.e. t-shirt, spandex, tennis shoes, and kneepads) and plan to arrive 15-30 minutes early on the first day of tryouts to check-in and receive a t-shirt and tryout number. Tryout format will consist of testing (approach touch, block touch, shuttle, etc.), position specific skill testing, overall skill testing, and team competition evaluation. All players will be evaluated on all skills. Players will receive an email notification of their team placement following the last day of tryouts. Teams will have a Zoom meeting with coaches, players, and the club director the following day. Players/families will have 24 hours after receiving the team invitation to sign-up for the 2024-2025 club season.
