Summer Skills Camps are great for volleyball athletes looking to sharpen their skills this summer and get ready for club tryouts in July and school tryouts in August. These 3.5 hour camps will expose your athlete to high level, fast-paced, repetition based instruction from our Roots Volleyball club coaches. Camps are designed for club players and players with previous volleyball experience. Camps are Monday-Thursday 1:30-5:00pm.

In Hitting and Blocking Camp players will focus on fundamental techniques in attacking and blocking. Hitting instruction will feature arm swing mechanics, approach footwork, timing, shot selection, court vision, transition footwork, hitting out-of-system and hitting a wide variety of sets. Blocking instruction will feature blocking footwork and hand placement, timing, and swing blocking.

Setters are also welcome to sign up for this camp to get reps working with live hitters. Setter coaches will work with setters on footwork, location, and tempo and setters will combine with hitters for the last hour of each camp day to work together on setter/hitter connections.
