COACHES:
One Roots club coach
COST:

Service Lines:
3rd/4th Grade: 20 feet
5th/6th Grade: goal is to have servers at the endline, but the service line may be modified to encourage more rallies
Modification for 3rd/4th Grade Division:
Each server will get three attempts to serve, regardless of the result. Points are not awarded to the opponent for a missed serve; instead, a free ball will be tossed to the middle back player on the opposing team to play out, and the point awarded based on the result of that ball. This modification creates more opportunities for rallies, keeps the teams rotating frequently, and gives every player more serving attempts.
Modification for the 5th/6th Grade Divisions:
The serving team can score up to three consecutive points in a single rotation. After three straight points under an individual server, the serve will switch to the opposing team.
UNIFORMS:
All players must wear the provided team shirt and appropriate court shoes on game days.
OFFICIATING/MATCH PROTOCOL:
Referees will be provided.
A coin toss will determine the team that serves first. The other team will start with the serve in the second set. In the event of a third set, an additional coin toss will determine the serving team.
Teams will stay on the same side for the duration of the match (no switching sides between sets).
TIMEOUTS:
Teams are allowed one 30 second timeout per set.
BALLS/NET HEIGHT:
3rd/4th grade: Volley-Lite balls and 12U net height
